Episode 1: Wellness is a Constant

 

Meet Jen Smith: an avid yoga practitioner and indoor cyclist since the early 90’s, Jen took her first yoga 200 hour teacher training in 2001 through Julian Walker and Rick Gould at Santa Monica Yoga. She followed this with ANOTHER 200 hour TT at YogaWorks with Maty Ezraty and Lisa Walford. Her THIRD 200 TT was with Stephanie Keach at Asheville Yoga Center. I guess you could say that she likes to be a student. Teaching classes since 2001, she has also been participating in and teaching teacher trainings, workshops and retreats regularly. An event planner for both YogaWorks and exhale center for sacred movement, Jen has planned over 150 retreats for herself and countless other teachers - not to mention her Group Fitness Management positions at several Equinox locations dating back to 2004.

 

Jen Smith is the salt of the earth. She is a breath of fresh air. She is the realest of all the reals.

 

Talking with Jen is easy, sweet, playful, energizing and inspiring. She has a gift to gather a community, create a safe space and evoke emotion with her words and passion for the yoga practice. You will feel how graceful and funny our conversation flows. This discourse is an embodiment of her energy exchange a teacher, mother, wife and friend.

 

Jen has evolved ten fold in the six years I have known her. From career to personal life; her story of struggle, heartbreak, falling in love and starting a family will inspire you to live your fullest life.

 

Jen is a writer and I can only hope one day she memorializes her stories in a book for the world to read and enjoy.
